well! Finally someone has solved the Secret of the Pyramids! Wait til Ches gets a look at a camel. Those aren’t big dogs, kitty.

Speaking of dogs. This afternoon I was sitting in my chair by the window. Its a full length window. Out of the corner of my eye I saw movement. A coyote ambled past not 3 feet away. Just passing by between the houses. Two minutes later my neighbor knocked on the door wanting to know if I’d seen it. Yep!

Chesney, the Egyptian archaeologists are very good. I am sure that they will give your theory all the consideration that it deserves.

Odd that the cat statue buried in the sand so closely resembles Chesney.

Chesney is very observant!

When Dr Susan sold her CA house a few months ago, you can imagine what combining two households was like. She brought a ton of stuff here that she doesn’t need and it’s all been sitting in her hangar. So, yesterday, they had a big rummage sale in the parking lot Susan usually uses. I honestly didn’t think they would make much money. Susan didn’t even advertise it. We started setting up at 7AM and I swear, 25 min later people were driving by and stopping to see what was there. The only clothing we had were the 4 polo shirts Brad had me take and one man bought all of them 15 minutes after I hung them on an old ironing board. Since it was 99% Dr Susans’ stuff, everything was priced at $1.00 or below just to get rid of it. How much are you going to make on stuff when everything is under a dollar? Well, I will tell you. Over $1100, that’s how much! We were shocked. I was the money taker for a while when we first started and one man spent $68, mostly on jewelry priced at 50 cents per item. He did have a few things that were a dollar, but not many. We even had a big tarp laid out next to the pay stand where people could take things for free. Most of this stuff was old. The big sellers were the jewelry, books (she’s a prolific reader and had boxes and boxes of books of all genres), Christmas stuff and pet stuff. Susan slept in the parking lot last night. I asked her about a bathroom, water, etc. She said she’d run to the 7/11 if she needed something. I don’t know if she left everything uncovered or not. She even sold the portable tent one of Dr Susans’ neighbor loaned us and told us to sell! It was one of those huge things vendor use in parking lot sales. It will be interesting to see how it goes today.

Chesney, if there were a giant cat statue under those two pyramids, it would probably have been found by now.

Meh! Who needs a dumb old mountain with old president faces…when you can have a Chesney sand-portrait!?

A good thing Chesney doesn’t know what happened to cats in Ancient Egypt, and he’d be worried about some of the looks the locals are giving him.

OT: I became a great grandmother yesterday. Granddaughter had a boy at 8 pd, 6 oz. and named Theodore. Parents will call him Theo and I will call him Teddy.

So there’s another giant cat statue in Egypt? (Anyone forget about the Sphinx?)

Yes! I was hoping Ches would make it to Egypt, my favorite place. I was supposed to be going there in a few weeks, but all canceled due to Covid.

I was lucky enough to visit a friend at AU who was interested in Medieval history, and showed me around some of the lesser known sights of Cairo from that period.

Well, if there ever is a good place for a cat to be, it’s Egypt. They were worshiped as gods there back in ancient times. Come to think of it, they’re still worshiped now in modern times. I guess some things never change. On another note, saw three robins, two juncos, a sparrow, a towhee, two ravens, a squirrel, and a rabbit while out walking today.
