Sounds just like the present elections.

Just claim the media are ‘biased’.

Keep lying and hope enough people will believe you.

Fake comic! What you are seeing is not what is really happening.

Last night as my wife was getting a trash liner for me to replace the full one, my daughter walks in the kitchen and sees me with my arm outstretched. I explain to her I am reaching for the bag. I felt the need to clarify and said, “The trash bag”. I then felt the need to clarify the clarification, I told my wife, “What you heard was not what I said.”

That darn media. How dare they report what politicians do? It’s an outrage!

If the media endeavors to report the truth about a political figure who has an adversarial relationship with truth, they can’t help but appear biased.

It doesn’t matter. We all have filters to keep out what we don’t like.

I know you think you understand what you thought I said but I’m not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant’ ! Remember Bill said. “It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.”

“And I’m gonna make ‘Fact Checking’ against the law!” ☺

Golly gee! Whoever could that possibly be like?

Just insist you never said it. Then say it again the next day. Repeat as necessary.
