Wow! Peter really is kind of . . . umm, I like him, so I’m trying to come up with a nice word here . . . clueless?

I’m glad he listened to Olwen and got out of there, but did she intend for him to leave his son behind? In the chaos did he just assume Peter would taken care of, or did he totally forget about him?

Yep! Offal didn’t bother to count. He did, at least, go, but it would maybe been nice if he had actually made sure that all of his children were accounted for. Does he know how many he has, I wonder?

Peter’s the one you need to speak clearly and plainly, because when the rock magic switches on, there’s going to be “you said you wanted…” surprises.

I feel like Hickory is trying to convey something – but I don’t think it’s – let’s make a summoning circle. Maybe – there’s something nasty coming around the corner? Over the hill? Through the trees?

Aw, Salem is getting called father and Puck gets called Mom Cat. I guess they even each other out. Haha!

Wow! Remember I just remembered. Olwen told Salem to wait 12 hours to make the Summoning Circle unless Hickory started Hooting. Then do it immediately. As I recall, Salem’s Fox Familiar Pepper can communicate with Hickory across the worlds, I guess since they are both Familiars.

…that look on Salem’s face in the last panel makes me think that SOMEBODY is going to be sorry they messed with the Hawkers…

Peter almost seems to have an neurological impairment in this strip. But maybe he is just being silly since he doesn’t know what going on or how serious the situation is. Considering the capabilities of his siblings, I wonder if he will display any abilities….aside from total cluelessness.

I totally LOVE Salem’s look in the last panel. She definitely looks like a descendant of Rasputin’’s who is harkening back to her antecedent. (or a mad violinist playing gypsy music at triple speed)

Hickory has spent too much time with the adult. The other Hawkers seem weird.

And Salem oughta try listening to Hickory. Though she looks a little mad in the last panel (crazrd mad, not angered mad)

kinda poignant that Peter is surprised that Salem is glad to see him, and #2 isn’t Salem a little young for a full-throated adolescent “Wowwww. Great job, Dad!”? #3 Rock Dad? hmmmm, either completely clueless, or there’s another player in this game
