BS. I have a slight hearing loss and I can understand mask wearers fine as long as they speak up a little.

The only thing comics spread is humor and satirical depictions of human behavior. Being infected by those does not endanger to your health, but it might improve your outlook.

Funny in a weird sort of way.

Masks work and are critical in defeating COVID19. Any well-informed person who cares about others is well aware of that. And people can be heard through masks, so the Frazz strip today is counterproductive.

And it’s a comic strip so not real life. (though thanks for the reminder in case somebody thought you were making a politcal statement)

Yeah Jef, your characters are not biological. They’re comics! And if you don’t understand the significance of a mask in these times, you must not have any elderly folks you care about living or dying. It’s that simple. Impressionable people read your comics and are swayed by what they SEE. Until there is a reliable vaccine for us older peeps, we’re at severe risk of D-Y-I-N-G. As they are comics why can’t you denote enough of a facial expression through a mask?

I still can’t believe people are offended that some COMIC STRIP characters who aren’t alive, aren’t breathing and therefore aren’t able to spread any airborne diseases, aren’t wearing masks! I don’t like it either, but I wear one. I don’t want it to be “normal.” So why can’t we have JUST ONE escape without people ruining it and complaining? Yeesh.

Frazz16 hrs · I actually like that I have to stop and explain this every now and then. If I’m making my imaginary world seem real enough that a real-world incongruity can put people a bit off, well, I suppose that a certain measure of success.

Sure, there are those who are just looking for a fight, and there’s no better way to do that than to avoid investing any effort into understanding something that can be pretty easily sussed out. I think by definition I can’t help those guys. And there probably aren’t as many of them as it seems, and I kind of feel bad for them anyway.
