Our favorite family pizza restaurant (local family owned) closed its doors in the beginning and put it up for sale. And, they had just spent months remodeling, keeping its character but a great upgrade. They are older and said it was time to retire. Apparently, no one in the family wanted to run it. The restaurant business is tough even in the best of times.
In one era, some events caused a ripple effect. Current situations seem more like tsunamis in irregular order. Begin clean up after one, another hits without warning.
Prayers for the fallen, the ill, those who serve them and their families.
And to think the worst extent of this could have been avoided if we had true leaders in power who trusted the American people with the truth, brought the entire country together to fight this as one, truly shut down incoming infected and monitored/quarantined as necessary, and combined that with a united effort by all our health agencies and manufacturing plants. What a concept.

That sign was nearly word for word a note on our neighborhood diner. They did add that all of their employees would be taken care of (jobs at other restaurants of theirs)
