Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
“Fall back” sounds more negative, but this time change is easier to adjust to – it can even be rejuvenating to get an extra hour of rest. “Spring forward” sounds positive – but you lose an hour and are more likely to be late.
Being retired does have one advantage, the only time I worry about a clock being set correctly is if I need to be someplace like a doctor’s appointment, the rest of the time I do what I want at whatever time I happen to get to it. If that means I cook a steak “dinner” for breakfast or walk my dog at 3 AM that is entirely up to me.
It’s claimed that DST starting and ending is to save energy and for farmers & ranchers. Crops and livestock still can’t tell time and the amount of energy used depends more upon climate and tasks. A complete waste and inconvenience for no good reason except “But… But we’ve done it that way for like, a hundred years” and of course that’s no reason at all.
DST ended, which means that due to the shorter days, my dad’s day virtually ends at 5 p.m. (due to his age, he has night vision problems and we don’t take a chance on him going out at night…)
There are times like this that I really miss living in Terre Haute, In. There the time is always the same, Standard Time, so you don’t have to go around changing all those clocks twice a year. Some of the clocks are easy: some do it automatically; some have a DST switch; some require multiple buttons to be pressed to get results; some require you to go all the way through till you get to your needed hour; some allow you to simply go back an hour; and I have one that requires you to turn it off and let time catch up with it. Brother, what a hassle. Have a nice day.
Daylight Saving Time? It saves nothing, it’s harmful to humans, unhealthy, it reduces productivity, it causes accidents. Who is making us do this, oh yes congress. Fire them all!
For those who want to end DST: send a postcard or e-mail to four people: your US representative, both of your senators, and the President. Four words: END Daylight Savings Time.

Ever wonder if Daylight Saving Time is actually the Matrix resetting us to a place where we might not notice? Welcome to the programing.

Yeah I’m not a fan of the sudden lack of sunlight around 5 in the evening ether.

Go to Hawaii, it is warmer and doesn’t change time like the rest of the country, (except Arizona).

Here in Arizona it is just another day, except in Tuba City where both sides of the highway have the same time again.

I would not be upset if they put it on one time and left it there.

For people with insomnia DST just means an extra hour of lying in bed and staring at the ceiling.

I wish we would spring forward one more hour in the winter. I hate that it gets dark so early. I always end up thinking it is later than it really is.

This shows why we should read the comics early in the morning!
