Reminds me of my honeymoon, I was 5’ and my husband 5’4" and the place he booked us into, unbeknownst to us, was having a Tall People of America convention! We started to get onto the elevator which was almost at capacity and one of them quipped, “That’s okay! Those two count as one!”

And you’ll be getting half of a tip.

Good way for the restaurant to lose business Poor Ziggy

I miss the point of insulting customers at the door. I often eat alone in restaurants, especially when traveling (business and personal) and nine times out of ten, when I walk in a restaurant, I am greeted with a sneering “Just one?” I find that so offensive, and I let them know.

Ouch. I’m thinking no table I’m going somewhere else.
