The major existential crisis begins! I guess they took the Woman’s advice last year to “misbehave just a little bit” a little bit TOO FAR! https://www.gocomics.com/breaking-cat-news/2019/12/29
My I suggest – like the strip called Pickles – time to decorate the tree! I had my offspring her own little tree. Only about two feet high… but anything could be decorations! One year it was just jewelry. But we are in BCN… it should be something relative to the strip. And again like Pickles… I could be decorated with CATS!
Popcorn Day: This is the day in 1885 Charles Cretors began selling popcorn as a commercial venture—and his company is still going strong. He is the reason popcorn is so widely available, and readily available, today. He was an expert at re-engineering things to work better, and do other things than the original intent. If you love popcorn, have some and remember him with gratitude.
Safety Razor Day: My first experience with one of these would have done credit to a blood sacrifice. While I have since mastered the art of shaving with an unprotected blade, I understand why beards were so popular and prevalent before the safety razor was invented.
National Package Protection Day: If the package is well enough protected, the shipping charges will be too great to send it.
National Mutt Day: Let’s hear it for hybrid vigor! Mutts are often healthier and smarter than pure-breds, and therefore more fun. After all, most of us in the US, at least, are human mutts to some extent.
National Fritters Day: If it’s battered and deep fried, it’s a fritter, and a global concept. The human species just has a thing for hot grease. The medicos tell us that if we eat too many fritters, we’ll be frittering away our lives. Wahl, fry my hide!
I keep telling them to leave the tree alone and I imagine them saying, “If you don’t want us to play by the tree why did you put all these cat toys on it?”

The boy looks so cute in his little overalls! This is just too much stress for such basically good little boys.

Poor little guy. I don’t know if this is a Catholic family, but it reminds me of a Catholic upbringing.

…especially for Lupin.

Good and bad is just a matter of perspective. Stealing picanic baskets good for me. Basket’s original owners thinks its bad.

Can Lupin and the boy be sufficiently good in the next couple of weeks to outweigh the previous eleven months of turpitude?
catmom1360 almost 4 years ago
As far as I can see from past strips, they haven’t been too bad. Well, maybe Lupin should be slightly worried.

But they’re never bad cats, they’re just misunderstood

Maybe the Very Good Boys™ need to teach the People-kittens how to be good!

The devil song lingers…..Does the woman realize what she has done with her “harmless little Christmas song” ? Or is it an EVIL plot?! Bwahahaha!!

Goldie doesn’t need this pressure laid on her after so recently being brought in from the life of a stray.

Meanwhile, is Momma’s Special Boy Elvis being smug in his Superior Siamese goodness?

It’s a sad day when children find out about “The Santa Clause”.

I saw a whole article yesterday about how parents should dump that creepy “elf on the shelf” thing.

’Twas the fear before Christmas throughout the pink house
Good boys and girls were worried, ’cept one robber mouse
Santa’s always watching, a scary song said to beware
That it’s too late to change is neither here nor there
But really, should good girls & boys be filled with fear
At a Christmas visit from Santa so jolly and so dear
Well, if we have to, let’s review this poopy year
Judge Elvis licked a fresh pie cooling on the table
And naughty Beatrix snuck outside whenever she was able
Not reading the room, Pucky was a misguided singer
And scientist Goldie was an intrepid tart flinger
One early AM Pucky woke the house with his zoomies
While proud Elvis too often was grumpy and gloomy
Wait, does skeptical Elvis believe in Santa Claus?
’Cause he was a mail carrier doubter without cause
We should note one more cat lives in the big pink home
But fun-loving, adventurous Lupin would need his own poem
In truth we can say not to worry, we all have bad days
Santa knows we try to be good and he loves us always
So don’t fret boys and girls as you try to do what’s right
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
(A Visit from St. Nicholas – Clement Clarke Moore)

No one is accusing the cats or the people kittens of anything. They are accusing themselves.

It’s not easy being good, especially with the many adult role models for the other side.
