I read accounts from nurses who say some patients don’t believe the virus is real even when they are dying from it. They think it must be cancer or something else. This is what happens when the constant brainwashing from Trump and his bunch gets embedded in their heads.

Sure is a lovely thing that the lame duck Executive Branch is doing its best to respond to the crisis. What is less lovely is that their “best” is ignoring it, since most of their activities have been destructive. (And yes, Operation Light Speed has been good – this exception proves the rule given why the President wanted it to be so fast).

Seriously, how do I explain to my kids that grandma died but it wouldn’t have been Thanksgiving without her.

Go forth, Lisa. Exercise your rights to do as you please. Gather in large numbers, make yourself and others sick. No one is trying to curtail your rights. They’re trying to save your life! You’re like a horse running back into a burning barn.

I’m having a difficult time understanding why the “pro-life” advocates prefer getting their respiratory disease advice from a malevolent death-causing ☠resident instead of an accomplished experienced medical expert.

Thanks to republican incompetence and failure to do what every health care expert in the world told them to do.

Personal responsibility. Let individuals make their own decisions and if they get a family member or friend extremely ill that result in death or long term lingering health issues, don’t be surprised relationships drastically change. I will always hold someone personally responsible for recklessly endangering family and friends. Don’t be mad if an invite is pulled cause you refuse to wear a mask at the request of the host.

I thought a long time ago the Right would come up with this excuse. “The deaths are actually from heart failure. There is only a weak correlation between the death and having a virus.”

As the just ‘unelected’ president said, it is what it is. Skip the dinner save a loved one.

Gosh, it appears that there’s some operant factor this year making it unsafe to observe holidays the way we have done in years past. That’s unfortunate, and I sympathize. I expect next year will be an improvement, though.

Regrettably, ignoring the dangers doesn’t make them go away, so I hope the woman with the cart heeds these eminently sensible signs. Well, the “No Singing” sign seems superfluous, although the effect might be slightly muffled through a mask.

I guess Lisa is all for people getting sick and dying. How dare they not be willing to sacrifice themselves for a holiday. It’ll be more memorable when the family recalls how Nana picked up Covid at Thanksgiving and died before Christmas. Such wonderful memories for the family to enjoy. /s

Lisa conveniently ignores the pandemic success in many places like Taiwan, NZ, the Maritime provinces of Canada. Even Africa has outperformed the US by a mile. On top of that she believes the liar known as IMPOTUS, Pfizer was so pissed off by Trump they issued a public statement that they took no government money and they developed the vaccine entirely on their own initiative.

Lisa needs to have a close look at countries where the virus has been tackled. Lockdown isn’t forever. During lockdown politicians need to ensure that those who cannot work are subsidised to stay home, or work from home. Subsidies should be available to ensure kids can stay home and still do schoolwork. Groceries and other necessities are able to be delivered to the home. Even during lockdown in South Australia (which is ongoing), one person from each household is able to shop. After the lockdown is over, wearing masks in public, social distancing, and good hygiene will keep numbers low. None of it is easy for sure, but I’m pretty certain dying ain’t easy either.

Again admirable artwork but a perplexing message.

I’m still healthy, Spouse is healthy, Kids are healthy… and for the greatest part, we all are: Wearing masks when out, shopping VERY carefully (in masks, keeping our distance, hitting the store once per week etc), eating IN (even when we order out) and generally acting like Fauci wishes we would. And thanksgiving is going to be Zoomish, which is sad, but nowhere NEAR as sad as finding out later that someone brought death into our family…

We have 4% of the world’s population and 20% of the covid deaths because republicans on purpose crippled American know how and can do.

Lisa, why don’t you catch it, get put on an ventilator and if you survive then tell us what a hoax it is. Otherwise, STFU.

People like Lisa have been reported entering hospitals with a bad cough and deny to their last dying breath that they might have that virus.

It’s the deniers and anti-maskers that have brought us to this. In Cali we have a curfew.

None of this would have been necessary were it not for rampant ignorance.
