Here’s something to motivate you, lazy dog. That mouse is closely related to squirrels.

Sakura will think differently as soon as the mouse is stealing her food and peeing on the rest.

Our cats always figured mice were just one more pet I’d brought home.

I remember my cat, Thurmond, sitting on the couch, watching a mouse skitter along under the baseboard heating in the living room.

My sister’s cat used to catch and keep the mice, as her babies. Of course, the mice would run away from her, not understanding the concept. :D

found a dead mouse in the middle of the laundry room once, don’t know if the cats killed it or it saw two cats and died from a heart attack, LOL!

Mousing or ratting is instinctual. It would seem Sakura doesn’t have it.

Years ago I watched my Lab/Staff ‘point’ a rat and the Terrier mix rushed in and shook it to death. Took maybe 15 seconds from first sight to finish.

I had a cat for 20-1/2 years that didn’t really bother with mice. Rats, rabbits, squirrels, rattlesnakes – those were a different story. She was very small for a cat but thought she was a big game hunter. If her prey wasn’t at least as big as her, she seemed to think there was no challenge to it.

My dog is half rat terrier. for his first 11 years, he considered mice to be beneath his dignity. Then he tasted one, and has become the mouse terrier.
