What the hey is the “Far Left”? America has no Communist Party, no Socialist Party, no Labour Party, no Leftist Party. The best you can do is a centrist Democrat Party that’s slightly opposed to Fascism.

If the GOP was the party it once was, I’d prefer a divided Congress – the children of the far left are as delusional as the geezers on the far right. However, with this Congress I’m hoping the Democrats do get control of the Senate – or else nothing will get done.

Lazy Lisa has no clue about what a “far left” agenda actually is? She thinks things like an Eisenhower-era tax rate structure, a national health care system to the right of what Nixon proposed fifty years ago, tuition-free public colleges, like many states had up through the 1960s, and the kind of environmental policies that enjoyed bipartisan support prior to the James Watt ascension are somehow “far left” because billionaire oligarchs pay the craven to oppose them. Lisa, without the people you call “far left” you’d be confined to your kitchen and your husband would be signing and getting paid for the cartoons you draw.

We prefer a divided Congress, since it reduces the harm done by either side, and we encourage Republican voters in Georgia to help the nation maintain balance, just as the divided Congress did in the current administration. That way, everybody gets to be heard, and only true consensus prevails.

Lisa, you’ve neglected to label which of those “out of state” money bags belong to the Republicans and which to the Democrats. Both parties have lots.

Lisa lives so far to the right that what the rest of the world considers “centerist” is too far left for her to see from there. It’s like one of those “When the boss says …” jokes. When Benson says “Far Left” she means someone who is labeled “Democrat” and who has occasionally mentioned that something radical like social security is a good idea. People such as Pete Buttigieg, she labels “communist”. Sanders, Warren, AOC and others are labeled the same, because she literally cannot distinguish such “nuance” as how they differ from mainstream Dems.

Medicare for All is socialist. Public schools, roads, mail service, etc are socialist. Anything the government does to serve the people is socialist. Socialism is a scary word for Republicans. It is necessary for Republicans to use scary words to convince their base that they should remain loyal, because if they actually understood that they are voting against their own best interests they wouldn’t be Republicans. They have been taught that socialism is scary. 1%er owned news outlets have been telling them so for about 40 years now. So, if they are told someone is socialist, they don’t educate themselves to find out exactly what they are supposed to be afraid of. It’s a pretty shaky system and it’s amazing that people have fallen for it long enough for the country be in the condition it is, but they have.
