way to prepare for show and tell

Wow, I am not sure if Sally is channeling Lucy or P. Patty. I tend to think Lucy as Peppermint would have Marcie arrive an hour early to set everything up for her…..

Reminds me of my 5th grade teacher.

I seemed to remember in that time period, that one of “perks” was being the student “audio-visual” guy. He’d be the one to set up things like projectors and screens. And also get his fingers all inked up working the mimeograph machine. (I can still remember the smell of the ink when you worked that machine.)

I think Sally should get an A for the “tell” part.

Schulz must have based Sally on my sister.

No, no, no…Sally has ALWAYS BEEN the Methodical one from day one! Remember how she coerced her brother to help her with her homework? Remember how she coerced her brother to give Snoopy an extra scoop of ice cream? How about when she enticed Schroeder to play ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star?’

I don’t recall that I ever saw a movie while in grade school and I never saw one in class even in high school. In those days, even overhead projectors were a big deal. My geometry teacher was recently graduated from college and he was one of the few teachers who was willing to use one of these high tech devices.

When I went back to the school for my 50th reunion, I noticed some changes. The typing class didn’t have typewriters, half the signs on the bathrooms said, “Girls” (it was an all male-school when I went there), there were students of color volunteering and among the reunion goers from later classes (it was almost all white when I went there) and there were signs in the stairwells about cell phone usage.

When looking at the first panel, I thought this strip would be about the state of Sally’s cell phone.

I remember this routine. It was always an ordeal although I don’t remember anyone barking orders like a movie director on the set.

LOL! I remember when I saw this the first time decades ago. It got me laughing. She is so bossy though. Worse than Lucy.

Once again I think Sally is on the road to middle management.

Sally has a real future as a TED speaker, doesn’t she? (Maybe should have told her teacher in advance.)
