This is not good, Alice. You have shown fear and weakness in front of one of your peers. Your rep may suffer damage.

Iā€™d want to pull his hat down over his head, too, if he told me his puppy ā€œthinks he is peopleā€ when he needs to be taught to not jump on visitorā€™s legs. Just because he is little doesnā€™t make it OK. Puppies need to be taught.

Now when I see an owner doing dumb by their dog Iā€™m going to silent call them bucket heads.

Not all puppies are created equal. Nor are bucketheads.

I had a Norwegian Elkhound once. Of course, he never hunted elk. He did hunt lots of field mice though. Keen sense of smell that one. He could pinpoint a field mouse that was traveling under a foot of snow from his perch atop the second story deck in the winter. However, never keen enough to know you shouldnā€™t play tag with the skunks. ĀÆ\(惄)/ĀÆ

Alice may not have broken the word of her promise (ā€œHey! She didnā€™t call me a stupid bucket head!ā€), but she certainly has violated its spirit!

(I knew yesterday that Kevinā€™s winter cap would be a problem!)
