Ironically there couldn’t have been a restaurant of that name at the time, since the term medieval, or Middle Ages, wasn’t used to describe that period in history until modern times.
I’m with Rod. No way to avoid it, given the times, but there’s no use in trying to justify it. Like profanity is the last resort of a weak mind to express itself, war is failure of diplomacy.
Uh? Does that mean the medievel restaurant isn’t serving any ‘runny sauce’ yet? [Explanation for those not getting it, a slight take off of the Renaissance.]
I’ve somehow amazed that the referenced themed entertainment restaurant still draws a crowd and stays afloat. The overhead must be tremendous and at what point has the surrounding demographic hit the “been there, done that” mark?
Because Id has its own time frame, it’s entirely possible to have its own Medieval Period. Our Middle Agers could have called the Roman Empire the Middle Ages. It’s all a matter of timing!
Is nobody going to mention Medieval Times, the attraction in Kissimmee, Florida? It is so much fun! It’s a dinner show with a jousting tournament and they serve a medieval type of meal. There are other locations but I have only been to the one in Florida.

You could have a singer who wouldn’t be a lyre as he plucks his way while you eat.

Mid-century modern style. Is still called modern, even if it is in reality antiquated style from the middle of the last century.
