Somehow this reminds of the scene in I Claudius where Urgalania and Livia are cackling about the marriage of Urgalanilla to Claudius. The book describes it better than the series depicted it.
No wonder Hemlock was so frightened by finding out that Ivan was captured and Olwen would be pissed off about it. I doubt any wards or protections spells he has will protect him from Baba Yaga.
So is this Slavic folklore meets Hawthorne (and MacKaye) meets Harry Potter. I’m seeing Baba Yaga (which we already know), which would cover Slavic folklore. Then with that pipe I’m seeing with Mother Rigby from Nathaniel Hawthorne’s short story Feathertop: A Moralized Legend from his Mosses from an Old Manse and Other Stories (Goody Rickby from Percy MacKaye’s play The Scarecrow which was based on the short story). Where’s Dickon with a burning brimstone for the pipe? Probably better not to have him, might make the strip a little too dark in that princely way. Then there’s the Harry Potter reference with the time turner.
“Some men are always little” <<<<best line yet, needs to be cross-stitched on a pillow post haste! #2 I would dearly love to see Baba’s bridge club and #3 let’s get down to the timey-wimey!! (also, why not avail yourself of Hemlock’s soul? It’s not like he’s using it)

“Feed it Hemlock’s soul?” That sounds nasty . . . and intriguing.

“Some men are always little!” Sadly true. I’ve known a few, and several others have made the news reports. (Some women too, not just men.)

I know this isn’t BCN, but I still didn’t think anyone would die. :(

The local Corvid Guild would likely help to cheerfully stuff Hemlock Van Rabe into the clock.

Wait a minute. Baba Yaga has a weekly bridge club? Does that mean there are more like her? Dozens more? Or is she being sarcastic?
