When Kevin’s time comes, and he si standing at the Pearly Gates, St Peter will be shaking his head, thinking, “After 2000 years, just when I thought I’ve heard them all!”
Wow, I’m glad I’m not in China. My parents would be really angry at me if I waited until they were 60 to make sure my they were taking reasonable care of each other and had decent, safe living conditions. Who rather decide to obey a Chinese man-made law instead of the Bible’s instruction for living saints?… good thing I invested in MICROHARD windows instead of Microsoft.
Of course, the best idea is for non-minor children to check personally on the parent willing to welcome them at least once a year ( and many times per year by phone or by letter) when the parents and children are no longer in the same household rather than choosing to be so apathetic and ruthless that they wait until their parents are 60, an age many suffering parents don’t even make it to in current world conditions.
Believe this: many parents are safer shutting their unthankful, untrustworthy, untruthful, unholy children OUT of their household .
That China story doesn’t really jive with me (I know big shock, China has a law that offends American sensibilities) Because I keep hearing stories of people with abusive parents who go no-contact once they’re able to live on their own. Does that mean in China you could be forced to support people who abused you as a child, or can you become emancipated from abusive relatives so you don’t need to be held to that law when they get old?
