I once had a colleague who was small but very temperamental, to say the least. Her computer crashed constantly and she was the only one who had problems with the printer and the copier.
This could be a good thing. I used to work in software QA. My nickname was “Doctor Digital Death.” As a former programmer I knew how to go to the jugular vein in the code.
Otto von Bismarck observed, “People who respect the law and love sausage should not watch either being made.” To this I add “and depend on software.” In some cases it escapes rather than being released.
A really obnoxious, incompetent co-worker left our network operation for what he thought was a better job. After he alienated them he came sniffing around, looking to return. Even the idiot boss who hired him knew he was bad news. He didn’t make it back.
Didn’t nuke accidents at the Springfield nuclear plant plummet after Homer was promoted to manager? Not because of his management skills of course, but because as a manager he didn’t get to touch the equipment?

Life is normal without Roger. Apparently the idiot company he worked for can’t stand it.

Is the last panel supposed to be sarcasm? I would think not having the least computer literate employee around anymore would be a good thing.

Roger, you’re the kind of person everyone can aspire to not be. With you, there’s always someone to blame things on…

As a former IT worker and manager, I have to concede the possibility this is a true story hiding in a comic strip.
