We called it Monotony when I was a kid. It was a great way to kill time, but even at that age, I had better ways to use time.

Back during the Beatles’ touring days, they use to spend long hours cooped in in hotel rooms. To pass the time, they played Monopoly with real money.

This is how my five-year-old granddaughter plays Monopoly and every other game.

The best games are made up to suit your taste.

It always goes like this:

Calvin: plays a game and changes the rules

When I was six years old I did not know words like, defraud, diverts and assets.

I don’t think I ever actually played Monopoly the rules.

Even your bank account did get the benefits of a computer scam, you wouldn’t hold it for long. Most banks track that sort of thing for their own liability.

Sounds more to me like Hobbes got a Community Chest card.

My older brother always cheated while playing Monopoly.
