BIG NATE AND THE FIELD TRIP: PART 4

All four engines are in flames. Everybody, including Mrs. Godfrey’s students, are panicking, thinking they are going to die.

Student 1: WE’RE GOING TO DIE!

Student 2: RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!

The only student who’s staying in their seat is Francis, who is trying to calm everybody down on the airplane.

Francis: Everyone! Stop and calm down! The pilots will fix this soon!

During this ruckus shortly after, the intercom goes on. However, instead of the pilot, it’s actually the co-pilot speaking.

Intercom: This is your co-pilot speaking. Um. The pilot has been knocked out unconscious for unforeseeable reasons. I will be taking over the remainder of the flight. Stay calm and- OOF!

The sound of a frying pan is heard over the intercom. There is a long silence between the intercom and the passengers. Later, the intercom turns off, only for itself to be turned on again. But this time, it’s neither the pilot or co-pilot; it’s a deep, mysterious voice this time.

Intercom: Attention. I have knocked out both the pilot and the co-pilot. Brace yourselves. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Nate: What the?

The plane goes down at a really fast rate. It’s about to hit the ocean soon. Nate rushes to the cockpit while everyone is screaming. He opens the door and sees the pilot and co-pilot unconscious. No one else.

Today’s strip is another use of the “horny female” trope. That is, man pursuing woman obsessively is not only not funny, but a little creepy. But woman pursuing man is funny. Or used to be. Part 8 of Big Nate and the ULTIMATE planThe fact that Nate and Jenny were going steady surprised everyone.

Nate was planning his best joke ever for prank day. He wanted to fire all evil teachers because the sixth graders were suffering a lot (Nate is in seventh grade now, so he decieded to help them so they didn’t suffer like him when he was in sixth grade), so he decieded to hypnotize principal Nichols.

Nate: You will fire Mrs. Godfrey, Coach John and Mr. Galvin because they made a meme of you. Fire them in prank day.

Principal Nichols: Yes, sir.

In prank day, Principal Nichols fired the evil teachers and hired good teachers. Nate and his friends shot the evil teachers with water guns. Gina went to the school where Mrs. Godfrey was and so did Artur.

The plan had suceeded. There were good teachers now and Nate was going steady with Jenny. That summer, they were heroes. They were the most popular kids in the school. After the summer, they began 8th grade happily.

October began and they celebrated Halloween and Nate’s 13th birthday… with a cheez doodle-covered cake!

Two months later, they celebrated the best christmas in their lives.
