P3 looks like it might be the end of the basketball season stories. We can only hope. On to baseball and softball and who knows what non-sports storyline.
In all reality , you know Doug , at first I felt good about how we humiliated Tessi , now I feel really bad about it . I’m going over to her house and beg for her forgiveness .
But whether they know Vic had help driving it or not, everyone in school knows the car – and knows it doesn’t belong to Vic.
It would have been more effective to douse her with a bucket of pig’s blood at the prom… Unless her telekinetic powers then went out of control and she mentally locked all the doors and set fire to the school…
But the burning down of the school would be a heck of a way for the strip to end.
This episode of Milford Masterpiece Theater, not a Quinn Martin Production, failed to show Tessi with her mouth agape (Sluggo Oh Nooo!) as the informal team picture was snapped. Vin Diesel called. Time to return his GTO R&W.
P1- How is Vic wearing Dougie’ vest and he is vest less in P3?
Monday we meet the new kid on the baseball team or softball team. Tuesday Vic starts working on his Vin Scully. Wednesday Vic starts buttering Gil’s bread. Thursday CK has to decide boys or girls team. Friday Doug puts gas in the GTO. Saturday Marje gets the starting line-up.
P1 – “Satellites saw us”? Um, what? Because they burned some rubber? Joke no make sense.
P2 – How in the hell would this even work? He’s working the gas and brake with his hand? He can press hard enough to stop the car with his hand in that awkward position? AND he also is working the clutch at the same time? Even if he could do all that, Vic has to time his shifting to match Doug, and I am going to assume Vic’s van isn’t a stick shift if he can’t work the pedals so he most likely has no experience.
Also, his dad did that when Doug was a kid? He let his kid steer while he worked the pedals and could not see the road at all? Do/did parents really do that, laying on the floor?
P3 – I agree with everything said in P3 except for the “and perfect” comment. This prank made 100% no sense. So Tessi is now humiliated for some reason because Vic drove by in a cool car?
And speaking of humiliated, Doug make a humiliating mistake in today’s edition of Mopped Up Thorp.
No way do we transition to base/softball on Monday. There has to be some follow up to this awesome prank. If this story ended like that, I am going to be blowtop mad on Monday.
Um, Tessi was pretty burned before this by all her teammates seeing what she was like and how she had treated Vic. But this stunt, in addition to making no sense (it isn’t even Vic’s car, and how could he take her to the prom with it anyway?) means that Vic totally gives up the moral high ground.

CK putting on her tools of ignorance as we speak. On the boys side, time for Doug to start driving the ball. Can Vic make the transition to Horsehide?

The real question is can tessi make the transition to horsehide and enjoy it?

Who is that driving-wearing a VD mask in P1?
TheBrownStarfish over 3 years ago
P1, Ahh, now I get it. Doug was wearing a Vic mask during the driveby.
P2, Doug is so accomodating knowing that none of the basketball girls will end up with their head in Vic’s lap.
P3, You think it was painful for you, you should be looking at it from this end.

Well, CK was right. It was juvenile and petty. And dumb. And senseless. And a poor segue to the baseball season.

That’s stick shift hurts when it gets in the way like that.

Off subject, but did you know I do work for all the comic strip schools? Check out one of my other jobs, at Big Nate’s school:

I can imagine the planning for this.
Doug: This situation absolutely requires a really vapid and shallow gesture be done on somebody’s part
Vic: And we’re just the guys to do it
