Wait, that’s GARY ? Of Gary and Debbie fame? I didn’t even recognize him yesterday with his word bubble blocking his receding hairline. Now it all makes sense.

P2 Is this whole library thing over? If it is a new record…a complete R & W plot in only 5 panels…which is more than some of their other sappy story lines deserved

In all reality , I want to join the team now because my Mom is taking a job in Denver and my Dad will have to resign from the Library Board. He has low self esteem issues since he was forced to resign as President of Milford Savings & Loan by the FDIC .If I’m on the baseball team maybe we won’t move.Sounds like a plan, send you tomorrow at practice.Thanks Coach !

P1 & P2- This Gary cannot be that couch fart sniffing disbarred attorney Uncle Gary Soto. Uncle Gary was a manipulative schemer trying to line his pockets by booking nephew Rick with signing gigs at The Milford Moose Lodge. Library Board Gary is more filled out, unlike pencil neck geek Uncle Gary.

P3- Chance Macy wants to play beisball?

Sports held hostage: Softball, day 2. (I guess saying “ball” counts as baseball being back, though it is weak.)

potential ballplayer is Gary’s son, and doesn’t want to move to Denver, causing child custody battle between family and Gil. Replacing lost children.

So who is this mystery future all-star that is late to the party? Fits the profile for Doug, since practices and games are optional for him. But the hair color is wrong, and the artist NEVER messes up his hair color, right? But actually, the fact that he’s not wearing his stupid racing jacket means it’s someone else. So what’s the guess, someone we already know or a new character? May be a transfer student, we’re already overdue for a miraculous new student to come in and be an all state player.

And speaking of all states, someone may be visiting most of the states over the next few days, as we can see by reading today’s Mopped Up Thorp.
