Well, the tea took effect so fast on Cheesecake that she dropped her mug. That suggests that the timer yesterday was more likely for how long Oscar expects them to be out. Having checked that Auntie Bellum drank all the tea, Oscar grabs a pillow to make her more comfortable? I think not! So far, there is no indication of his motive.

Wouldn’t it be a neat twist if the camera we’ve been watching spy on Peggy all week didn’t belong to Oscar?

Oscar must be well up on his Othello. I’m pleasantly surprised by this story, that they didn’t merely stop it with Tiger Lily and Pouch, but kept on with the Oscar sub-line. One criticism I’ve had of DT (and it’s my only major one) is that the stories tend to move at warp speed, versus some of real depth you saw in the Gould-era stories.

Now would be a good time for Alex to make an entrance!

Some body wrote that Oscar would use the pillow case to smother Auntie Bellum! Whoever it was….was right on!

Wow, seems like the guy went through a lot of trouble just to steal a pillow. Must be a really nice pillow.

If Oscar smothers Auntie Bellum, who takes the fall? Cheesecake? No she was out like a light. Aquarius? He was no where near the premises. The makings of a frame…don’t know yet who will be in the picture.

Shades of Tony Soprano & Lydia! My question though is if this is Auntie Bellum’s demise (& I don’t think it is) who stands to inherit the property?

Think about them and the story evolves even more.

Oscar’s a real go-getter, suddenly exploding from just a scheming flunky into the most overtly ruthless badguy of the whole story so far. Keep your eye on that guy— but from a safe distance!

Drugging someone then smothering them to death with a pillow – isn’t this an overused plot device – this story is running on too long – although technically, I guess it was two parallel stories interconnecting.

But as I have always said, if you don’t like the current story, there’s a new one a few weeks away.

Today there are noticeable differences on the GoComics site. The font for the comments has changed in some way – I’m not sure if it is a different font, or just a smaller point size. And they put a bar at the right side of the comment box, so you can scroll with it if your comment goes beyond a certain number of lines, apparently 4 lines. Anyone else seeing this?

Some of the points I’ll make here have been covered in previous comments, but it seems worthwhile to reiterate….

“Devious Unctuous Obsequious Oscar,” as I have called him serially, now adds to his epithets, seeking to become Assassin Oscar, and going about it smugly, at that! But Auntie isn’t dead, yet, and maybe Alex can burst in at the last minute and save her life (or, less likely, Tracy and his crew could show up in the nick of time)! —I hope so.

Ditto (not dead yet) for Cheesecake Kelly. But I think Oscar wants her alive, but muddled as to what happened, to make her the Fall Guy or Scapegoat for the (intended) murder of Auntie Bellum! Again, there is still room for her rescue.

The Silent Strip today is very effective, putting even more weight than usual on Joe’s excellent art work!

Bets on if the idiot turned off the bug or not?
