What might Sally mean when she says ‘Deteriorate’? She obviously thinks it means something else.

I actually did apply not to go to camp. Band Camp was mandatory. I played clarinet in grade school for the high school marching band. The whole construct was rather awkward.

The makings of a couch potato.

You are not going to get any tan-line watching television Sally. You need to get Vitamin D. Which you get by being out in the SUN.

Reminds me of Seinfeld when George is in his recliner. George says he’s decompressing, but Jerry says he’s decomposing.

What! No braiding cords and making wallets or shooting someone by accident with a bow and arrow? How I don’t miss my times at camp!

I never went to camp, since I already lived in the country, so, Sally’s Summer sounds like how mine were.

George Costanza called it “decompressing”.

…until it’s time for school when you have to get yourself back together again, Sally!

I thought Sally was deteriorating before summer vacation

The problem with one big school break in the summer. I suggested for years that school would work better (for students, teachers & staff) with 9week sessions separated by 1month breaks in each season and NO other vacation days. Apparently some schools are now getting close to that.

Wow, now she can know the joys of weeding the garden, dragging the cut limbs to the road, helping mommy take down and clean the drapes, and a whole host of other jobs done during the summer.

And that’s why you’re gonna be stuck with all the chores while your brother is away.

Meanwhile, Mom is planning Chore-A-Palooza to keep her occupied and away from the TV…

Sally is such clueless cutie.

There’s a great story arc in the ’80s where Sally goes to “bean bag camp.”

Does bivouacking count as camping if you used a bivvy sack?

Don’t forget corn curls and Funny Face drink mix!

I never went to camp. I did go camping with my family a lot of summers.

I know a lot of seniors who do that!

I’m sure she means vegitate!

Sally’s use of deteriorate phrase goes well with the idiot box in the front.

Little do the kids know that the application to not go to camp is an application for summer school!

Wait until your mommy makes you clean your room or kicks you outside because it’s too nice a day to be inside watching TV.

For a preschool student, she has quite a vocabulary
