I was thinking more along the lines of Mayuary. Mayvember makes me feel like half the year has gone by and I missed it. At least with Mayuary, mother nature gets a second chance to get it right. On the other hand, without Mayvember as context, Mayuary doesn’t really make a lot of sense.
We had a Movember contest at work. It was supposed to be just moustaches, but most guys were lazy and just didn’t shave for 30 days, so lots of scruffy beards.
We had a very cold February this winter, but the rest was within just tolerable limits. Then we had an 80 degree day in April, and now every morning starts in the 30s. I walk my dog first thing every morning all year around for several miles, and while I can dress for the cold, I hate it. I never, ever complain about heat or humidity no matter where I am, and I have been in AZ in the summer. But cold, no. Don’t like it. It makes me ache, and my body temp drops too much.

It feels like it won’t be cool again until November.

Some people complain about the heat in the summer and those same people complain about the cold in the winter! There’s no pleasing them at all!!

Mayvember can be either January or February. I think Manuary or Mebruary would be a tad more precise.

As Stephen Hawking put it, “like Goldilocks, the development of intelligent life requires that planetary temperatures be ‘just right’”

Good one Brutus. Mother Nature gives us a couple days in the 70s, then heads back into the 50s. Wish she’d make up her mind.

It isn’t just the wind, or what is or isn’t falling from the sky. The lack of SUN, makes me loathe winter more each year. Even if I don’t go outside.

Be happy Brutus, cold weather is good for the tea cozy business.

Our seasons appear to have shifted. It was in the mid 70s in November, now it’s in the mid 60s in May.

Come on down to sunny Phoenix, Arizona! Yesterday we had our first 100 degree day, and today it got up to 101! No cold down here…
