What’s with the shadows in P1? In P2, note Zane’s change of expression. P4: CK snaps the breadstick for emphasis. Fetch Bulldog! Next target for this pack of dogs — the Library Board. Answering The Call of the Mild.
Zane realizes that he needs CK as his life coach. Now the real excitement starts, when Zane storms into Katy’s home, smashes a library computer over her Dad’s head, and shouts, “I AM BULDOG!!!”
Isn’t he family caregiver, holding a job, and needing to use the library because they can’t afford a new computer at home? It’s true CK is a family caregiver herself, but no signs she has the other responsibilities Zane has. But she can measure his pitching potential and knows he’d be a great pitcher if he just devoted another four or five hours a day to practice? Cut him some slack, CK. The quarterbacks deserved to be smacked around – Zane doesn’t deserve to be kicked.
This is the story Orel Hershiser told. Tommy Lasorda in the role of CK, told him he needed to learn to be a bulldog. Then he became a dominant pitcher. Bulldog. Whatever works. CK just takes one breadstick, not all of them.
Zane ordered the pupperoni pizza. In Milford, there is Joy to The World. Jeremiah was a bulldog. Was a good friend of mine. I never ever understood a word he said, but I helped him drink Marty Moon’s wine.
CK lets InZane know she has needs and he’s the guy who can satisfy them. Look out Katy pie, you and your Abie Baby daddy are about to become history. You’re my bulldog and I’m your bee-otch.
I really LOVE Zane’s expression in P2. He does not like this girl or her damn advice! And is telling someone to get tough actually coaching? What good is that going to do? You might as well tell him to pitch better.
New hairstyle coyishly across the forehead, nail polish, earrings…Corina needs to pick a side. She still has man hands, though…she’s gonna stick that breadstick in his eye.
Amazing how Corina watches Zane pitch for about 4 innings and has all this deep insight into his motivation, psyche, and style of pitching, while Gil, who watches him all season….
On second thought, that probably also equates to about 4 innings. So whose strategy will work better? Corina giving him this “get tough, bear down, go after them” dressing down, or Gil’s strategy of doing nothing and hoping it works out? It worked for Gil in game 1, so who knows.
And speaking of who knows, I know that today’s Mopped Up Thorp is ready and waiting, and answers the question, how did Derek turn out?

To make her wielding of the breadstick all the more dramatic, CK has polished her nails since yesterday.

Even a bulldog starts out as a puppy, right?

I wasn’t aware that bulldogs are renowned for their pitching ability.

It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.

A bench-clearing brawl erupts in Zane’s next start when, as the 1st batter digs in, Zane runs up to him and starts sniffing his nether regions

CK needs to be managing True’s shoulder rehab. She’d have him in the Toronto rotation by now.

Good advice indeed. If he pitches like Orel Hershiser, he should be pretty successful.

Next game, Zane goes all out like “a bulldog”, shows his best pitch to the first three or four batters, and then proceeds to get rocked
