Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
âIn THIS corner, wearing the dark trunks, at 5â 11â and 185 pounds ⊠Abel âBruiserâ Brito. And in THIS corner, wearing the light trunks, at 5â10" and 165 pounds, âInsane Zaneâ Clark. Letâs have a good clean fight, no rabbit punching or hitting below the belt. Touch gloves and come out fighting." Predictions?
Hey Rollie howâs your Dad Jocko doing , he was a great ump. In all reality , heâs dead he always thought you were a lousy coach . Hey Gil howâs your kids doing ?
Gil is dressed up to query the Board as to when the Drag Queen Story Hour, popular in the big cities, is going to start in Milford. He said heâs âasking for a friend.â
Now we know Herk the Mauler is played by Rollie Conlan, the pie eating, Subwich scarfing crazed wrestler who defeated GilPaâs character Beau Dandy in a charity event at Milford HS.
Shouldnât Gil leave board members alone and allow them to facilitate this time consuming process of filling this board seat?
Well, todayâs strip really went a long way toward moving the plot line along. Where is CK when we really need her? Iâm pretty sure sheâs not home studying for the SAT exam.
Iâll call it now: either (1) the seat goes to neither Brito nor Zane, but to a third character who weâve never met before, or (2) another member of the board decides to quit, and they pick both Brito and Zane!
Why would the playing time of the Grandson relate to Gil seeing the Grandfather?? He only came to games he played? He knew Gilâs lineup? Most family members support their children hoping they get in the game. Is this an example of Gil playing KIngmaker??
That last panel reads to me as if Gil is plugging his upcoming album. Wonder what style it is? Folk? Punk Rock? Hip Hop? Probably something in the style of William Shatner.
And speaking of styles, todayâs Mopped Up Thorp is in the style of ridiculousness.
Vito From Goshen just strolled in. Heâs here to renew his library card (he knows the librarian) and donate a copy of âThe Godfatherâ to the Board.
P 2.5: ââŠthat wasnât my grandsonâŠit was my son, and it was 1987, you old boozerâŠthatâs why you donât âhardly see me anymoreââŠyour wife still looks do-able howeverâŠâ
My greatest fear is spending several days reading Zaneâs emotional plea for the under privileged kidâs of Milford who go to bed hungry after waiting sometimes for minutes to use those dusty old PCs.

Is Gil in a meritocracy? If so, second place in the Valley should be good for about a 0% increase each year.

P1, Mo from the diner hasnât shown up with the pies yet.
P2, Gil had on a brown suit last Thursday, then a red jacket on Friday and now his suit is blue. He goes through more costume changes than Cher.
P3, Itâs a wonder Gil even knows who you are since he shows up to coach so little.

âMeritocracy, right. That kid Zane gets shelled every time and hasnât got a hit all season, yet you keep playing him. Brito for the Board!â

P1: I think Gilâs plan all along was to find some leftover pie.
