Do medical forms have to be filled out before the bag with the supplies is opened? Do they have to be submitted and approved first?

I see that Medical common sense is lost in the Kingdom of Id as well as here in the “modern world”.

I used to re-enact WW1 that would do living history through the night. One time I was talking to a cook after dinner and word came that a guy was down with convulsions. the cook was in real life a paramedic. He told me to grab a pack he pointed out and I followed him through the maze of trenches to the fallen guy-I swear i hear the theme from “Emergency” running in my head

Wonder what is wrong with Rodney. He seems to be doing better just with the arrival of the medic since his upper left arm has put on some meat! But at the cost of his left leg shrinking at the same time! Which medical malady is that?

Only in the USA can a hospital refuse to treat a deathly ill person if they cannot prove they can pay the bill first. If they can’t, they are sent over to another hospital that MAY accept them first….If they don’t die on the way over. Nice system guys. Here in Canada, I just show my government health card and that is it. Treated right away.

I know everyone likes to joke about forms but I have not filled out or even seen a medical insurance form in 30-40 years. I provided my employer’s insurance policy and the medical provider took care of the rest. I have been in the hospital twice and still not had to deal with any forms. It has been the same way since I have been on Medicare. Medicare even sends the unpaid part of my bills to my medigap coverage company. All I do is review the EOBs I get to make sure everything is on the up and up.

Funny how so many people complain about the costs, forms, and high potential of personal bankruptcy from the US (almost non-existent) healthcare “system” but froth at the mouth at the thought of a healthcare system that works for the vast majority of the rest of the world, and even for many poor nations. They aren’t even willing to consider a system that stops making the US population pay many, many times more for prescriptions than the rest of the world.
