Ah, a story introduced in media res. Given how bad the set-ups were for the last several Sunday arcs maybe we’ll just skip the bad introduction. (Just kidding, the next few weeks will be flashbacks to show how Tarzan ended up in the hospital, then it will return to the present to show he’s fine.)
In media res = starting the story at some crucial point in the later plot line.
Is this the end of Tarzan? Will we no longer be able to razz ERB for his word usage or re-hashed plots? Tune in next week, when we find out that our favorite author still has plenty of snarkable content for our humorous digs… ☺
The last two were #3519 & #3520. This is #3521, so whoever gave them those numbers thought they belonged together. Since STORY-wise this doesn’t follow #3520 directly, I would have to agree with @LawrenceS – this one is starting in media res (Latin In the middle of things).
