This meeting is crammed with “psychological landmines”.

I don’t think that Tarzan is one to kneel before anyone, or hold his speech either.

First panel: it’s good that the lion was already inanimate, or Tarzan would have helped there.

As we know, Tarzan kneels for no one. I don’t either. But, that’s more to do with arthritis. Lucky, my chances of meeting royalty are slim…..

It’s a cliché drilled into Americans. Lot of bad history drilled into Americans. Declaration of Independence has fiery rhetoric about the intolerable acts England wants to force on us. When you translate them it speaks of abusing us by asking us to pay for our own defense, stop stealing land from Indians, and freedom of religion for Roman Catholics. (The Puritans didn’t want freedom of religion for everyone. They wanted a freedom of religion that let them hang anyone who disagreed with them. I recall in one of the books, in a similar situation, the queen asked Tarzan if he knew why she did not insist that he kneel, and he replied because she knew she could not make him kneel.

Tarzan: “Gee, I am sooo scared. What will happen if I do not kneel or speak without permission? Will her majesty throw me into the arena to fight some lion?”

Oh right—Tarzan will humbly and quietly kneel. Not in this Universe!

Immediately upon being ushered before the queen, Tarzan stood straight and said “Hey, Queenie, how they hangin’?”

I only wish our Southern Borders were so secure as to gain access to Nemone’s private chamber. Soon the usual horny Queen “fun” will begin: Nemone makes an offer to mighty Tarzanacus, killer of men and beasts both great and small which he should not refuse. And when he displeases her desires…..well, you know what happens next!

Jeez, Miss Manners was more relaxed about etiquette than this.
