Years ago, I stopped in a small town in Idaho to gas up my car. At the entrance of a trailer park was a metal dragon with a connection that would fit a propane tank. Love to have seen the dragon âin action.â
In an engine nitrous oxide helps in two ways: one, it cools the air, allowing it to be denser and, thus, contain more oxygen with the confines of the engine; and two, at around 565 degrees Fahrenheit it breaks down into nitrogen and oxygen, thus adding more oxygen.
In both cases it seems like the benefit of nitrous oxide comes from increasing the amount of oxygen available for combustion in a confined space (the engine). Henryâs breathing fire is a case of combustion in the open air, where oxygen is more freely available, so would the nitrous oxide add that much? I suppose you could argue it would be akin to using a bellows in an open air forge.
LOL â except nitrous doesnât burn, itâs just an oxidizer. Needs a fuel tank along side it to actually do anything. Funny, but technically non-functional.

On a one on one contest, Smaug could smolder Henry with or without the enhancements!

But where is Henryâs friend Puff? I figure that Puff being a magic dragon would get along well with the Wiz.

Just what the world needs. A dragon with more horse power. âŠsheesh!
Geophyzz over 3 years ago
Nitrous oxide would not maintain a pilot light; and the dragon would have his own.

Might want to use liquid oxygen and squirt that into his fire. Would work like an after burner on a fighter jetâŠ..
