Mom’s really serious this time, she isn’t just yolking around. Of course it wouldn’t hurt Wilberforce to try something new once in a while, come out of his shell, so to speak.
For me, I will crack two eggs but remove only one of the yolks when I’m making an omelet/scrambled. But I also only do eggs maybe one or twice a week since my cholesterol is a bit too high.
I’m with him. Healthy eating is important at any age but I don’t believe he needs to worry about his cholesterol just yet unless his doctor says so. How about offsetting the “naked egg” omelet with some bacon or sausage……
I find it sad that so many things that are good for us, taste so awful. Of course, the addition of a strip of bacon can make just about anything taste better. :-)

I recall reading a comic book where Robin (Tim Drake, not Dick Grayson) would eat egg white omelettes. Lot’s of protein, he said,

I used to eat those Egg Beaters. The only way I could finish them was with a mouth full of beans.

My Mom tried to make me eat a vegetable once. Never forgave her.

What? You want me to go blind?
Egg yolks are also a rich source of two important antioxidants — lutein and zeaxanthin — which help prevent eye degeneration and cataracts

What’s unhealthy about a yolk? You can make a whole chicken out of one.

Eggs have cholesterol, but they don’t raise it in those who eat them.

Scrambled and topped with cheddar and picante sauce. Good stuff, Maynard.

Stop yolking around with your son Gladys.

Oh, come on. I have nothing against egg yolks, but if you were to separate them from the whites to eat separately, the whites definitely taste better.

Why is it everything good for you doesn’t taste very good. Imagine if candy, cake and ice cream tasted bad, the weight we could lose!!!

Why eat eggs at all? Proven carcinogans. Try a tasty tofu omelet: https://wellvegan.com/recipe/tofu-omelets

To paraphrase something Andrew Zimmern has said, “If it tastes good, eat it!”

I have to agree with the kid. I put up with the absolutely taste-free whites just to get the yolk.
