Until the third panel I thought it was going to be a “Dune” reference, as part of the publicity for the upcoming movie release, although the water in the second panel should have been a giveaway.

In panels two and four I thought they buried dad in the sand at the clothing optional beach!

Sharkvolution?

Ah, The Outer Limits, Season 2, Episode 7, 1964: “The Invisible Enemy”. One of my favorite episodes of that show: a planet with shark-like creatures that swam through the planet’s sandy surface like real sharks through water.

I recently saw a movie listing on my streaming device ….. Sand Sharks

There is actually a 2011 movie called “Sand Sharks”.

Don’t worry Land-Sharks “generally preys on young, single women”. Generally!

There is a D movie (and that’s being generous) named “Sand Sharks.” It took 2 hours of my life I will never get back.
