Middle Daughter dated a fellow who spoke this way. He’d ask “Where’s she at?” and I’d say, “Hmm, where is she? I think she went to the store.” He’d get angry because I was always correcting him. She finally asked why he didn’t take my advice and speak properly.

That romance didn’t last long.

There is an auction site here where someone is using voice to text to list auction items. There is usually an interesting difference between the item and its listing.

Cruel and unusual pun ishment?

People are careless when using the term “care less”. “Couldn’t care less” is what they really want because it implies that they “don’t care at all”. And if they “don’t care at all” (it’s nothing = zero), it’s not possible to care any less. It’s not possible to care less than zero.

… UNLESS (perhaps) you wanted to convey that you could have a NEGATIVE CARE – that you might actually wish harm or for things to go BAD for someone or in something. Then it’s like: “I don’t care. I didn’t think I could care less – but I do – and not only do I NOT care, I do NOT wish you well, I hope things turn out terrible.”

We should stand him out in the Medium Strip, where he can’t hurt anyone.

Then there’s “to who” or “to whom” ….

Okay. He’s been charged with cruel and unusual punishment …

What is an appropriate punishment? Should he be needled? (crewel punishment).

If convicted, how will he be sentenced? Is Capital punishment possible? or is this only a lowercase crime? Whatever the sentence is, it should get cut short (you know – punctuated).

Since he’s been charged, does that mean the electric chair is possible?

Is he also guilty of using puns? or has he only been “pun-ish”? When asked, he wasn’t even sure what “pun-ish” meant.

A co-worker always misuses the word ‘sense’. She’ll say something like ‘Sense it’s almost time to go home…’.

It’s not a crime against the Alphabet. All of the letters are there, and formed properly. The language on the other hand, has suffered greatly…
