Local drugstore chain store A/C was controlled from another STATE! That is what they said. To get the temperature to be comfortable they hooked a hair dryer up to blow on the thermostat!! Very clever, LOL!

Silly climate change statement. The US has next to zero chance of effecting real change to worldwide carbon emissions, even if that were enough to change the climate. The rest of the world is far worse, and we can’t stop them. Over 4 billion vehicles. Over 7.5 billion people, breathing, farting, lighting fires.

The world’s population cannot afford to reverse the current trend of technology.

Protesters are merely grandstanding for attention.

I’ve read that our need for AC is harming the planet. The energy that it takes to cool, heats something somewhere else. And sometimes I hate turning on my clothes drier. I do have a clothes line but most neighborhoods don’t allow them.

… by 2030? Doesn’t that mean that we should have another 8 years before we really have to do anything?

When we moved here, our “smart” IoT thermostat couldn’t turn the heatpump on, so it ran the re$i$tive heating. The HVAC guy couldn’t figure out why. The prior owner left a box of remodeling plans and … an identical thermostat marked “BAD”. We now have a programmable, not “smart” or IoT, thermostat that works just fine.

Since we seem to be unwilling or unable to change our foolish ways, She’s resorting to the various means at Her disposal (the Pandemic, Hurricanes, Floods, Wildfires, Earthquakes and Volcanoes) to eliminate the serious threat we have become to the entire Ecosystem.

Y’know, I’ve noticed an infestation here. Everywhere I look, in fact. Nothing but undeveloped, unevolved, barely conscious pond scum, totally convinced of their own superiority as they scurry about their short, pointless lives.

We need carbon emissions. Trees die without carbon air. Plus, it’s absolutely impossible to reduce carbon emissions with John flying his private jet. Besides, AOC knows nothing about the mechanics of the atmospheric machine known as Earth. Just ask Al Gore.

Headline in today’s New York Times: “Bitcoin Uses More Electricity Than Many Countries. How Is That Possible?”

Followup question: How is that legal?

Like the local electric company trying to regulate your smart thermostat during the summer heat by raising the AC to 85-90 for four hours a day.
