In gym class I climbed the rope, then I fell off the rope.

Leave comment here, eh? Okay. In 10th grade rope climbing was part of the PE testing. The rope was 20 feet and the record was 4 seconds flat, set a couple years before. I made it in about a minute.

Maybe you should step away from below that spiked gate, Dukey. Girlie hands there may just loose control of the gate.

Rope climbing was just about the only thing I was any good at in gym class. And I am a tad acrophobic. Go figure.

I could never get more than 5 ft up that gym rope … but then why climb to the top, 25 feet above a hardwood basketball court? Leave that for Special Ops … God Bless them!

Why a duke?

I always hated that. Gym teacher would stand below me, grinning, and holding a large pair of shears…

Being a tree climber since I was a small kid, climbing a rope didn’t take much adaptation. However, for some reason we were told not to touch the beam at the top.

Oops.

That’s the duke? I thought it was the fool, wearing the king’s crown for some reason.

Yeah, pulling down a rope is exactly the same as climbing up it.
