When changing tires, it will probably take the spare a little bit of time to reorient and steady itself (since it’s traveling upside down in the “trunk”) before it is ready to function properly as a replacement.

It would probably be wise to rotate the “tires” often. It would probably be even better, if he could, to have a whole set (or crew) of replacements. A whole set of fresh turtles would function better as a team and last longer before changing/replacement is needed again.

Not sure I wanna see when the spare is needed.
