Whoa. Opal has REALLY SHARP TEETH! If my teeth could get a close enough grip on a hang nail, I wouldn’t have to carry a nail clipper. And my smile would probably scare little kids…
What Earl needs, as a compliment to his bag, is a ‘’Kaptain Kangaroo’’ jacket. The Kaptain Kangaroo’’ jacket has two enormous pockets, room enough for anything, you might want to drag along. The jacket has a reinforced web, sewn into the garment, to spread the weight, allowing the wearer to easily transport 50 kilos, in comfort. On the interior, a passport/wallet pocket, with zipper. A waterproof pocket, just for carrying wet nappies and doggy poops. A pen/pencil pocket. And a snap for your key ring. You’ll note, no pocket for a mobile phone. These must never leave your hand.
Brian, if “Pickles” is read by Australians and Brits you may want to change the term of the bag to something else since the term you are using is greatly offensive in their culture. Hint, you may want to Google the term, “F***y Pack”. If it is not, then never mind.
My cousin used to call my large purse “the Grand Canyon on a handle.” Of course, she did ask for things out of it, even while she teased me about its size.

I’m thinking that if Opal ever gets her leg in a bear trap she’ll just chew it off, too.

And they talk about women’s purses.

Earle has my empathy. No matter if I carry a carry-on satchel or a small clutch, whatever I need is always hidden from easy grasp.

Don’t worry! He has some dental floss in there, so you can clean your teeth.

Sometimes chewing them off is a bit painful!

If Opal hadn’t chewed it off, I’m sure Earl would’ve been happy to chew it off FOR her.

Brings up something that has always troubled me. How did they trim toenails before the advent of bronze/steel? Using a rock, seems.. risky.

Where is Opal’s purse? Or has she stopped carrying it since Earl started “fanny-packing”? I wonder where she has her pistol….

Five minutes? It takes longer then that for a gal to find something in her purse!

Fanny pack? That thing has never been worn in the back, since the first week it was out.
