When I was Katy’s age (and older), September meant summer vacation was over and school started. That was depressing!!

I like September

The weather in New York State is quite nice this time of year. Moderate temperatures. Not too much rain. Getting lots of hiking in. Next month, apple picking will be in full swing. I do feel for the folks suffering from fires and floods, but at the same time, I really appreciate what we’ve got here.

Still feels like August here, hot & dry. :-(

September is amazing, especially as we’re nearing the traditional mid-Autumn and the solstice. No more unbearably hot days, a crispness in the air, the beauty of the leaves. The Best!

It might actually rain this week! But I don’t really believe the forecasts until they say “Accumulation: x.x in.”

Kinda feels like a Sunday night (as a kid back in the day). Had a good weekend-slept in-goofed off-watched cartoons. But now it’s over.

Colorado Springs smashed record highs 4 days in a row. It “cooled off” yesterday with a high of only 89…

Kathy needs to move to Hawaii. Summer all year, well except for the daily spring rain around 3 PM.

*tsk*tsk* Has she been listening to Greenday again?

The impending winter of discontent.

I can relate to this one. Katy and I are in complete agreement. The only good reason for fall/winter is you can wear more clothes to detract from showing more skin.

September Glummies? I still remember the time I was driving home from work and became distinctly aware that the days were getting shorter. This was in the middle of JULY!

Freaks me out, too. Annoying, bratty kid. Least favorite character in the strip.

He says, “already” but, we’re roughly half way through the September

October is worse, because Summer is definitely over
