to get elected I will promise to do everything for everyone, but when I am elected I will only do everything for me; and those who will pay for my next election.

Where is he from? There are only 7 countries in the world where elections are held on Thursdays.

(OK, so then I actually looked it up, and Jim Unger was born in and lived in England until he was 31. And England is one of those 7 countries.)

Looking at my local ballot this week-end. Like an auction to a future robbery. At least the incumbents fixed a few potholes this week to make nice…..

Doesn’t look like he’s much of a painter.

Marking him as undecided is the typical politician’s way of slanting the polls.

Yesterday, someone came to the door at dusk. My wife,asked what was wanted. When she found the guy represented a whack job candidate for governor, she, normally one of the sweetest temperaments on earth, simply but forcefully said Go away. He caught the underlying meat-eater’s growl and left. Smart fellow.

Guess he’ll mark that one as a maybe, too. After all, good tidings are the only allowable returns in political surveys.

The tops of the pickets in the fence look like Snow-capped Mountains. Nice.

Biden out campaigning.

I ran for office once. I appealed to the intelligence of the voters. I lost by a landslide.

Actually, I figure that I am smarter than 50% of the voters – candidates I vote for seldom get elected.

I’m losing faith in govt! PERIOD!
