I remember having this conversation on another cartoon but I don’t remember which one.

As someone who had to take care of a parent who developed Alzheimer’s, I find this strip depressing…

I know how that is, I have a good memory most of the time, but there are times when I forget a lot of things.

I have not forgotten anything. I just have a very selective memory.

Deja vu isn’t what it used to be either.

It used to bother me because I had a spouse to remind me of all the things I forgot. Now that I live alone, it’s not a problem. :)

Interesting. I remember in another Garfield publication someone wrote to him about fearing of losing his memory. Garfield’s response “Try to forget about the problem.”
