Blockchain is not funny, scary ? Yes!!

Concerning cryptocurrency: Back in the 1950s a leading Wall Street investor (we’d call him a Venture Capitalist today) remarked upon declining a proposal, “Some who have invested in this will make a pile of money; I will not be one of them. A lot of people who invest in it now will lose their shirts; I will not be one of them either.”

The one being “trick or treated” may not understand it, but does know that (to him) the mention of bitcoin is annoying.

Heh. That’s funny.

A currency is only as strong as the government behind it…

If you’re trying to scare people, it worked! If you’re trying to score candy, you might want to rethink it.

If he was cryptocurrency he’d be inivisible – and worthless.

People also get duped about things they don’t understand. Some are reasonably legitimate; others little more than crypto-Ponzi schemes. Only criminals need untraceable transactions. Ransomware business would be next to impossible without it

All I did is dress up as a giant ball with crown-like structures surrounding it. Why’s everyone running away from me?

What I don’t understand is why people actually believe there is any reality to the stuff. The only thing real about it is the tremendous waste of electricity to “create” it.

Cryptocurrency would be more trustworthy if the exchanges had decent cyber-security practices.
