Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Sequel to âPaper Moonâ in which Moze and Addie (Ryan and Tatum OâNeal), go to France. Addie pretends to be a boarding school classmate of Madeline, and they approach her Papa demanding money for âwrongful incitement to have an unnecessary appendectomy.â
A papa and his daughter walk by. / Then he turns and exhales a deep sigh. / âWhat is wrong, Father dear?â / âIâm just sad to be here, / The place Rose Parade floats go to die.â
Because the Throwback Masterpieces seemed to be well-received a few weeks back and thereâs been some more discussion of revisiting old posts, Iâm experimenting with making the stripâs Thursday selections throwbacks to an earlier era (i.e re-runs), starting with this one. Not sure if it will stick, but thought it might be fun to try for a bit. See what you think.
I TOLD your mother that those giant jam tarts, no matter what a good deal they were, would get mouldy before we manage to eat them all, didnât I? But does she ever listen?
Iâll report that cab driver for dropping / us off here. He then goes without stopping. / We are nowhere, instead / of what I clearly said, / âDrive us both to the Target for shopping.â
They both wanted to rest on the bench, / but his daughter could not stand the stench / of the blooms that abound / on that feculent mound. / (Itâs a tasty cheese smell to the French.)
âAnd this is the garden where/ the famous Charles Baudelaire/ wrote his âFleurs du Malâ/ when he ran afoul/ of the censor â and then lost his hair.â
Pleased the groundskeeper was able to remove the nipple teat added by the frat boys, he could safely walk his granddaughter on the pathways once again.
" Grand-père, now that Killer and Fang are gone, donât you think we can take down those Beware of Vicious Dogs signs from the gates, so that the taxi will take us all the way to the house. "
(best viewed with Google Chrome, which can automatically translate most webpages as necessary) has info and links that point to more info about this roughly jumbo envelope size painting. Other versions has the archive of the strip coloration image origin.

I have added a comment there (awaiting Mr. Melcherâs approval) pointing to the artist info I used to point to here. So far, 14 works by this artist, have been used here (17 times total, including this Throwback Thursday repeat, and 2 earlier repeats).Â
In the garden at Mr. Caillebotteâs/ the flowers are not kept in pots/ and the gardeners there/ are tres âlaissez faireâ/ which accounts for the uncovered spotsâŚ
For somebody like Courbet/ Caillebotteâs best would be mere childâs play/ and his finest display/ would elicit âOy vey !â/ from somebody like Manet..
You may say that heâs no Corot/- that his labors lack Gauguinâs âglowâ/but youâd better believe/ if heâs posted by Steve/ that his paintings are worth some doughâŚ
So, Caillebotte, hereâs a big Hoorah!/ though youâre not in the league of Degas/ and youâre stuff is still dreck/ next to Toulouse-Lautrec/ youâre still not forgotten, nâest-ce pas?

Hi all,
Because the Throwback Masterpieces seemed to be well-received a few weeks back and thereâs been some more discussion of revisiting old posts, Iâm experimenting with making the stripâs Thursday selections throwbacks to an earlier era (i.e re-runs), starting with this one. Not sure if it will stick, but thought it might be fun to try for a bit. See what you think.
