The classic “Pilgrim” hat didn’t become popular until after the Pilgrims landed in America. It was designed by my 9th degree Great grandmother, Constance (Constant) Hopkins.

Does that mean that everyone will have to wear a red hat with the words “Make America Great Again” and have to worship a fat orange idiot?

It is unfortunate that bigoted hypocritical prudery has survived so many generations.

The Puritans were as or more intolerant than what they left behind. Better to regard them as separatists than refugees.
