Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
The short list of sports is Baseball, Hockey, Basketball and Football. If Bucky manages to get those changes implemented, that might just enable soccer to join that elite group, as well.
Bucky is onto something with the “faked injury” thing, just need the appropriate penalty, and my current thoughts would wake up the Geneva Convention.
Socce3r needs only one change to make it exciting: dump the offsides rule. That was put in place to reduce scoring so that weaker teams had a chance against stronger teams.
I’m impressed that Bucky bothers to look up the Geneva Convention, but he’s probably doing it in order to implement what the Geneva Conventions condemn; I don’t picture the Buckster as adhering to international humane law.
Sorry, but soccer bores me. Ninety minutes with only one score—if that. With very few exceptions, the ball stays on the ground, which makes watching a game like watching pinball where the bumpers move slightly.

Bucky – you’re crazy. But you do make me laugh. And yeah, I’m with Satchel on the injury rules. I’d watch that.

Gotta go with Bucky on these improvements.

How’s there a back-up goalie if there’s no goalies? (As if the rest made perfect sence)

I could support #4.

Both teams wear the same uniform. Or just a loincloth.

Doesn’t panel 4 contradict panel 2, Bucky? No goalies!
Claude Badley about 3 years ago
Finally, a way to make soccer (almost) watchable. Nice job, Bucky!

Has the Geneva Convention declared soccer “cruel and inhumane” yet?

If there are no goalies, why would there be a back-up goalie??

I think these changes create need a whole new game and needs a whole new name, after Bucky.

Bucky might be on to something.

Why would a team need a back up goalie when you’ve eliminated them with your first change?
vehlers about 3 years ago
I’d watch his version.

I like number 4.
