Joe is a little past springtime, and he is in a dangerous profession.

No matter your age, you should let somebody know what your final wishes are. You never know what’s going to happen.

Springtime? More like mid to late-summer, Joe!

I like how this strip doesn’t use the cliches you see in most black media such as rap music, basketball, speaking Ebonics or loud mouthed characters. Armstrong writes what he knows and apparently, he doesn’t know anyone who does those things.

It all goes to the Humane Society and they’ll rehome whatever dogs we have at that time.

As @nicka93 says, Joe should have set things up long ago. I am surprised Marcie didn’t make him do it as soon as she could – considering his job AND what she has seen in HER job.

That’s an easy discussion. I’m in the middle of a more difficult one with my kids: Do we need to be in assisted living and can we afford it?

My mom lived to age 90. So if I live to around the same age, I am in the early October of my life.

Pretty much every cemetery has graves of young children. Not a single day is guaranteed.

(my second grandson lived two days last year)

Yeah…that might be true Joe. But…in your line of profession, I think the sooner you do this the better.

I did my pre-planning and was shocked at the number of minute details that had to be decided. It was easy for me to make my own decisions, I just want the cheapest available (and I was surprised to find that a plain wooden box is a lot more expensive than metal). I’m glad I didn’t leave it to my kids to have to decide, when they are already distressed, and a salesperson is suggesting that they need to spend $ in order to honor me.
