I was smart enough to hang on, that was the best ride in the park. Kids are missing a lot these days.

He must’ve tried to get on while it was still spinning. I’ve watched enough AFV to know that’s dangerous.

Yeah, a merry go round on a grade school playground is a lesson in physics, humility and first aid all wrapped in one little round killing machine.

We never had one that looked that good or one on sand.

He’s certainly not going the round about way…

Aaaaah. Remember when kids could be kids and not have helicopter parents that were gonna sue over every little bump, bruise, scratch, and broken arm?

Part of growing up is taking lumps, falling off of bikes getting scraped up – encouragement to learn faster.

Now we bubble wrap our children, don’t let them run around outside, and take them to the hospital for every cough, cold, sneeze, sniffle, scape, bump, bruise, and limp.

We have seriously become a nation of panzies. (I’d use another 6-letter “P” word, but figure I’ll keep it clean.)

The fact that most of us survived this monster is a credit to our generations courage and not necessarily our decision making! ;o}

I fell and banged my (first permanent) front tooth on it when I was six, knocked a hole clear through it, necessitating crowns for life!

I miss flat board swing seats. And jumping out of them.

He apparently was never on a see-saw when the kid got off the other end with him on top!

Wow brings back memories of when I fell off one of those things, broke my ankle, andnever went to a playground again for 2 years

Neither I nor anyone I knew ever had any injury from one of these. Not even a bumped head or scraped knee.
