I wouldn’t like to eat in a restaurant that cooks like my mother.

My mom was a good cook, thanks to no microwave.

Based on my own mother’s cooking, I’d stear clear of those places. But I would try her baked goods.

She didn’t make frozen meatloaf either

Overpromised and underdelivered

Plus Mom used real meat….

My Mom was a good cook and she had a microwave. Used it to thaw things. Never for cooking. Oh God no.

My mother was a good cook. She had the phone numbers of all the good restaurants memorized.

Sysco prepares many meals for restaurants. Microwaved and served. Yum.

But she did have leftovers!

My mom was and still is, at 86, a great cook.

then it’s either leftovers or false advertisement.

Mom’s was a different shade of green.

Our Loser must “crab” about meals in restaurants to make up for biting his tongue at home. But he’s never really rude.

My wife makes the most delicious meatloaf!!

Mom didn’t have a microwave or she would have used it too…..

Meat Loafs on me. Microwaved and she still burnt it Brutus. Shame it is. Mom being some unknown entity.

My husband enjoys going to excellent restaurants, and he loves my meatloaf. Maybe it’s because it doesn’t use ketchup or fillers. (No, I’m not sharing the recipe unless you’re family :-))

You’re not that old, Thorny. I’m in my 50s, and even my grandmother had a microwave.

Never eat at a place called Mom’s. (also a place that has tassles on their menus… the food is overpriced at those)

“Mom didn’t have a microwave!”

“My mom did!”

And it didn’t come out tasting like dog food…

Unfortunately for you Brutus, Gladys does have a microwave.

I ate at a place that promised home cooked meals. And they delivered, even the mashed potatoes were lumpy.

“Not your mom …”

Other than my mother’s cooking, some of the best down-home meals we ever had, was at a small restaurant run by a Korean couple. Unfortunately, they didn’t last very long, and I still don’t understand why.

Well, most CAUTION signs are bright yellow…

My Mom was a very sweet and loving person, who wasn’t that great of a cook. Of course I didn’t find that out until much later in life.

My Mom had a microwave, after my Brother bought her one when we we adults. Her Mother worked at the test kitchens for The Edison Company in Chicago. She tested and adapted recipes for microwaves, BEFORE they became part of home kitchens.

My mom cooked the old fashioned way, by feel and taste.

We often went to a well known restaurant until we noticed that the national chain had begun using frozen tv dinners. Cooks were not employed.
