What, no Twinkies?

Even cockroaches don’t like fruitcake.

It will next be the Age of the Insects, once mammals have finished causing the next Great Extinction. At least, that’s one hypothesis. Of course, insects have been around far longer than mammals, through multiple Ages without becoming dominant, so perhaps that is simply the role they play in any ecosystem that develops. They simply endure.

On one episode of that program: 100 Years After Humanity, they showed a crumbling bakery with everything in it turned to dust- except the fruitcake.

Maybe there will also be the one or other Mc******’s burger somewhere

I’d rather have the roaches

The problem with being the apex predator and top of the food chain is that you’re the first to go extinct.

If I ain’t gonna be around, I honestly don’t care WHAT inherits the earth. They/it can have it!

I always thought it would be Cher and Keith Richards.

Eating the coackroach would likely be healthier

I’m from Statesboro GA, which is just north of Claxton. Besides Claxton Fruit Cakes, they’re also known for the Rattlesnake Festival and Roundup.

In cold climates it will box elder bugs.

Fruitcake – so bad even cockroaches won’t eat it!

Let the roaches eat the fruit cake, then both problems are solved!

You left out the Twinkies! They’re being made again, you know. So they will be there. Most likely.

What will the apocalypse be like – The Road, City of Ember, 2012, The Day After Tomorrow, Mad Max, Wall-E, The Book of Eli, or something else?

Let’s not forget about Cher!
