This 20+-year-old ‘rerun’ dovetails nicely with yesterday’s ‘new’ Foxtrot Sunday strip.

He’s smart, and he’s still a kid.

But that’s what ice is for!

Book smart doesn’t mean common-sense smart. We have a friend who is a certified genius but could still lock himself in his convertible…with the top down.

Differently Smart.

My step niece got her degree in anthropology. As part of her studies, she spent time with the pygmies.

One of the things she appreciated was their honesty, but sometimes their honesty was a bit too honest. For example, they told her that they felt sorry for her because she was too ugly to get a man. She’s white, she’s tall (even my western standards) and too skinny (apparently pygmy men like women with some meat on their bones.).

They also considered Americans and Europeans to be stupid. You can’t leave them out in the jungle alone for a minute without them getting in some kind of trouble.

I doubt that I would pick a pygmy to be on my team (either in basketball or at work), but if I am ever in a jungle, I’d want one by my side.

but I like him slipping on the ice. :D

How did he turn all that horizontal motion into vertical?

Why hasn’t the walk been treated or scraped?

Jason just learned the difference between theoretical and applied physics.

Whose fault was it to forget to salt the sidewalk? Roger’s or Peter’s?

I have a friend…a college professor with TWO master’s degrees AND a PHD in Shakespearean Studies…who still calls me to assemble anything that comes with an instruction sheet. She says she takes one look at that thing and her brain starts to bleed.

When my father was mad at me about something, he would grumble at me, They don’t teach you common sense in college.
