Hello darkness, my old friend….

There’s a long night ahead. Wherewith shall we spend it, my love.

It’s not your birthday. Knock it off.

Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them.

All this darkness. So much darkness. Too much darkness.

This dark humor really gets to me.

Arlo has to convince her that is a very warm top and should come off!

Into the darkness they go, the wise and the lovely.

Why does she look annoyed?!

Also, born and raised in the South, moved to the Northwest for awhile and recently the upper Midwest and wow… nothing can prepare you for total darkness at 4pm.

Also first day of YULE and it is YALDA night.

Janis is not sure what direction this is going.

Upon reflection I think the early glooming put Janis off to the point of not wanting to celebrate it.

Great advice Jimmy. Having a buddy over for football and pizza tonight.

Why is she peeved?

Usually people are so busy shopping and decorating for Christmas they don’’t have time or are too tired. BUT I notice Arlo and Janis don’t have a single decoration up in the background. Maybe they do have time and should take advantage of the darkness. But the darkness is outside. Maybe they need to enjoy the winter solstice out on the deck.

Friend got married on this long night – just for that reason
